Frequently Asked Questions

Over the years I've been asked a lot of questions, here's some of the most common.
If you would like to ask something further feel free to fill in the form below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Love and light!
What is an energy Clearing and why will it help me as a parent?
To fully understand the process it's important to know that you are an energy being. Whether you see this as a mystical aura, your spiritual essence or a scientific energy that indicates life, energy flows through you from above down through your core centre, through your energy system, down your legs and through your feet, grounding you to the earth. But with stress, tension, pressure, and general life we create blocks in our system. These can show up as tension in our shoulders, headaches and other physical responses... or emotional responses, such as feeling drained, tired, overwhelmed and scattered. It can even appear as anxiety, depression or overwhelming stress.
As an Energy Worker I can intuitively find your energy "field" (think of it as your aura), and smooth out any blocks or imbalances. This creates more flow in your field, allowing more energy to flow through you and more energy cleared to flow all the way down to the ground.
This creates space for you to feel relief, aligned, present, grounded, more centered and in the long run, reminds you of what it feels like to be fully connected to YOU.
When you know what it feels like, it's a whole lot easier to connect on a regular basis.
As a parent, this means you will not only be more present and aware, you will be able to come from a place of authentic connection, creating habits based on your inner truth rather than based on a feeling of scatteredness and stress. You will also be able to help your children ground and be centered, creating calm and focus within your home.
What do you do as a Spiritually Aware Parent Coach?
As a spiritually aware parent coach I put the focus on the fact that we are all spiritual, energetic beings having a physical experience, so therefore that becomes the lens to see challenges through. (for everything from tantrums to mom-overwhelm)
Self care becomes about finding alignment to the deeper sense of yourself, rather than physical pampering... emotions indicate a sense of spiritual connection... and then as parents it becomes about passing on a sense of spiritual connection and self knowledge to kids so they have the tools of mindfulness and awareness to feel good about themselves.
I use mindfulness, the law of attraction, positive focus, and mindset work to help you find you inner compass, your spiritual connection, on a regular basis,  and then the energy work helps you energetically connect to your deeper self, creating relief and reset as you will feel aligned to everything you really are.

Isn't it selfish to focus on myself? As A parent I feel like I should invest in my kids
I see this as the same as putting your own oxygen mask on before putting on your child's. It can sound so horrifying as our first instinct is to help them first... but we can't help them if we can't breathe.
When we are run dry of energy, when as a parent we feel scattered, stressed and overwhelmed, we have little to offer our kids. We might be able to give them experiences, extra classes, or "things", but as a conscious parent coach let me tell you, most behaviour issues or challenges with our kids come from a need for "connection."
More than ever before, children are finding that life is fast and their parents are caught up in it as much as they are. If we are distracted and scattered it can feel like trying to hold water, our kids sense our energy running out and it's stressful for them.
So when you invest in your own mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing you can fully show up for your kids. You can connect with them on a deeper emotional level with vulnerability and honesty. And, rather than the need to fulfill some outer concept of a "role" as a parent, you will find connected solutions based on a true relationship with your kids.
There's nothing selfish about that.
Is this based on a specific religion?
The simple answer is NO.
The practices in Spiritually Aware Parenting are founded in Practical Spirituality, New Thought beliefs and Metaphysical study.
I was raised in the church, and then spent a long time studying other religions to see if I could feel at home there. I found a basic spiritual thread that was woven in everything I learnt, but still couldn't commit to any specific house of thought. As a teacher told me, I am a mystic, connecting to Spirit first. The result was that I can speak through many lens of religious tradition, and one of the first things I work through with you is what vocabulary for spiritual things you feel comfortable with, or if you feel triggered by any terms.
And, if you have felt restrained, restricted or hurt by religion in the past, I can help  un-package that with you, by finding your core, heart connection with Spirit/God/Goddess/Source/The Universe and putting the passed on beliefs into the authentic, aligned places which feel true to YOU.
What is LOA? Why would it help with parenting?
LOA stands for the Law of Attraction. This is one of the Universal laws which affects everyone (much like the law of gravity)
It is scientifically proven that like always attracts like.
Your thoughts, your focuses and general habits in your days create a feeling space, an energy. That energy is a frequency which ATTRACTS more of the same. So, when practice one way of thinking and feeling we create a snowball, momentum, within that energy and we start to attract experiences which feel the same way.
A good example is when you wake up in a bad mood, and then you stub your toe, which leads to you spilling your coffee on your shirt, then you are late, which gets you stuck in traffic, and missing parking spots.
Or, as a parent, it shows up in the moments when you change your baby and then they mess right after, which leads to you being late, being stuck in traffic, dealing with a tantrum in the store, and when you finally reach bedtime, no one will go to sleep, making you miss that splendid date night you had planned.
But, LOA can be used to your advantage. By working with mindset and focus work, you'll see a turn in the tide of "luck". You'll find that if you wake up with a positive focus, you'll be greeted by happier kids, you'll notice what's working, which will build momentum to create easy outings, peaceful bedtimes and happy date nights. It just takes some change in habits.
What benefits will my kids see if i work with you?
Great question! They will have the benefit of working with YOU.
When you work with me, you will start on a path of showing up authentically for your kids. Rather than flipping out, getting stressed or feeling drained, you will feel present and your kids will be able to talk with you about what's wrong, what needs to be done and how to help. Also, you will be able to talk with your kids, ridding yourself of the inner negative chatter and fear of social opinions, so you and your children can start working together to create the authentic relationship you were made to have.
This leads to your children having tools in communication, self awareness, emotional stability and the feeling of security in their days.
I don't have time for self care or to meditate... is that a problem?
You are a parent. It makes perfect sense you don't have 20 minutes to an hour for long meditations or self care practices. Through my knowledge and training in mindfulness, energy work, and self development, I will only give you tools that you can fit in. You won't feel guilty for not "doing" things, rather every exercise I create is designed to be able to do within the first few seconds you wake up, after the kids are in bed, while you are washing the dishes... or most importantly, in the moments when life is too much. Here, there is no such thing as not having time for self care, as self care can start within the process of your own focus and heart centered attention.
I don't think I can afford coaching... What can I do instead?
I get it. I really do. That's why I make sure there are options here for everyone.
However, before I go into them I want to encourage you to just book a free connection chat with me before you write it off as a possibility. With payment plans available and lots of options you might find you're pleasantly surprised how easy it is.
If you think that working 1;1 with me will give too much strain on your family's money story, then I highly recommend you check out my membership program The Breathing Space. Here you will get plenty of tools and support to be going on with, as well as accountability and community. Also, as we progress together, you can also take advantage of reduced cost coaching opportunities only available to members.
If the time commitment is a strain, but you feel you can carve space for some learning and self growth on your own, I suggest you start with a self led course.
