How to release what isn't serving you....

With the last full moon and it's partial eclipse over I have had a lot of moms come to me and say...
“Christina, I released what's no longer serving me. I let it go. Why does it keep showing up?”

I hear you. One of the energies I released was stress regarding a tooth that keeps playing me up and I found myself calling a new dentist. (releasing comes in various forms, I was hoping it would just go away.)
When I sat to write this post I held the topic of Releasing and Healing to my heartspace and got back:
“Releasing takes releasing, not revisiting to see if you've let it go yet.”
And, like my tooth, sometimes the releasing takes the discomfort of having something showing up again and again so you can release it once and for all.

So often we look at what doesn't serve us... beliefs, situations, habits... and tell ourselves that they truly must go.
But what we forget is that in order to release them we have to create a new story where they don't exist at all.
Spirit releases them the moment we decide they must be released. Our spiritual greater part moves quickly to the relief and newness of living without it.
But then... our humanness gets in the way sometimes:
We think about what we released, we remind ourselves on how it was, we talk about it, we consider it, we revisit and revisit... we can even be “glad it's gone.”
But where attention goes, energy flows.
So by putting the spotlight on what was released, you draw it back to you.

Have you ever noticed that when you tell yourself you aren't going to do something, the opportunity to do it again shows up really quickly. (Like when you tell yourself you'll stop yelling or losing your temper, just before your children start to argue.) That's just how it works.

So, how do you truly release things? How do you create that shift?
Here's a few tools to start this August off right:
1) When the trigger shows up again, simply acknowledge it and see it as a neural pattern in place.
Look at it, breathe deep and say to it...
“Hi. I see you. I released you. Thanks for reminding me you were there. It's ok. You can go now.
By acknowledging it you stop the spin and spiral. You draw the line in the energetic sand.

2) Ask yourself what life looks like when you've released what doesn't serve you.
It's amazing how much energy can be spent on healing rather than on focusing on being healed. Yes, even healed the old patterns, beliefs or situations may rise up again, but by practicing a different story, a different understanding of your own life, then there just won't be room for it anymore.
3) Ask for help.
Danielle Laporte just wrote a beautiful message today about putting your hand to your heart and asking for guidance. Beautiful. Answers always come.
Over in the Breathing Space we just spent 2 weeks talking about asking Spirit for guidance, diving deep into the question and receiving the solution. We discussed unconscious writing or holding space with the full moon, we explored deep listening and how spirit loves to drop breadcrumbs along our path, showing us that all is well.
So, ASK... when you release something and then it keeps popping up again like some wack a mole game at a carnival, ask for help. Ask Spirit, ask your guides, ask your heart, ask a coach, ask a healer... ask for the new story:
The story of your life without what you are wanting to release. It makes a huge shift in everything.

Life is a flow of experience, always moving forward.
Just as our children go through stages so do we continue to do so. Our kids release things easily. They let go of the old toys and interests to make way for new ones, they know that we can simply choose to shift.
Also... one last thing. If you aren't ready to release what doesn't serve you. That's ok. It takes courage to make that leap and you want to make sure you are ready.
But at the same time as that, look out for the complain train. It will always keep the old patterns active.
You can't create new patterns without making space for it by moving out the old ones. If we keep old furniture when we replace it, we end up creating a very crowded living room.
Give yourself permission to go heart centred, make some decisions, focus the energy, release and shift!

With September around the corner we're heading into the amazing focus time which truly brings a Year's intentions about... (before we start to consider... gulp... .holiday season)

So, ask yourself this, what are you wanting to shift in 2019? What do you still want to release?
- Is it something within your parenting... a feeling of overwhelm or stress?
- Is it something within your relationships with others or a role you are holding?
- Is it a sense of disconnection from yourself ... a separation from who you know you really are?
- A resistance to the inner calling of magic, spirit and divinity? That's a big one (I'm currently diving into this with a few clients which is really, really exciting. It transforms everything as it's a foundation in your home.)
- Or is it something more focused... releasing a limiting belief around who you are, around abundance, your passions, or your inner critic?

Can you imagine how the story would look if it was released?
I'd love to hear all about it and also to see if there's any further way I can help you create the change you want to see in your current experience.
I've got a few spaces for new clients before my prices go up in September and there's always options and solutions for you available.
It seems like a fantastic time to Book a Connection Chat and see what we can create together to get you living as the person you want to be (and really are) with your kids and releasing whatever is keeping you from getting there now.

Happy August!
