My family and I have had a hard month.
On May 22nd our darling cat, my spirit animal, Einstein passed in my arms. Then two weeks later, our other darling, Sweetie, my eldest’s 4.5 year old cat, passed away as well.
We have come to believe they were poisoned by something.
Many people have reached our, suggesting that this made the grief worse, as it meant they “went before their time”.
But I disagree. Grief is Grief. There’s no going before your time.
They still chose to go on a deeper, spiritual level. They ate whatever they ate, visited wherever they visited. I trust them and their inner journey entirely.
My family was heart broken all over again. We jumped in the car and took a roadtrip, heading intuitively to Glastonbury, my spiritual home. I’ve written this post so often in my mind over these past few weeks. There’s so much I’d love to share; about the processes we’ve taken, the releasing and healing rituals we took part in, the way we, as a family and individually, have processed our grief.
My eldest especially has taken her Sweetie’s passing incredibly hard, but at the same time has honoured her by changing her focuses and experiences.
She’s dumped most of her stuff, redecorated her room, changed her style and is back to reading. She’s focusing on creating differently and is focusing on how to live a better life.
I would need to write a book to write out all the ways this has transformed my family and how we want to honour the passing of our darlings so they didn't leave in vain.
Here's some takeaways I've gathered:
- Grief isn’t an emotion. It’s a process. You have to move through it and let it transform you.
- Our cats passed within the window of the Eclipses.
The last few weeks has been a time of transformation and life cracking apart to let the light shine through.. globally. (Check out this week’s podcast episode of this topic here.)
At the same time, when the cosmic energy is full of transformation, it doesn’t mean you just let yourself be crashed around the waves. Rather, you dive deeper into your faith; in the Universe, In yourself, in love.(I see cosmic energy a bit like the weather, you have to prepare, take precautions but then, go about your own business.)
- We aren’t stagnant beings. We didn’t come here to set up a nice framework of a life and live within it. Rather, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. We move through Seasons.
We tend to get messy and make mistakes to create clarity and expansion. I am not only mourning my furrbabies (and trust me, we are mourning), but I’m mourning the loss of how our life was.
I miss waking up my eldest and seeing a furry head pop up from under the blankets between her arms.
I would do anything in the world to have Einstein meditating with me or slapping me when I'm on my phone! But they shifted and so must we.
New times will flow with laughter and love.
If we spend too long in the vibration of longing, we find we are grasping at air, in limbo and unable to move forward. And so, while we hug each other in the pinching moments, my family and I are exploring focuses that feel better.
We are camping more, spending time outside more and discussing how we want to live moving forward. This isn't just a message for my family, Rather, energetically and socially, it is a good time to find the frequency of yourself, resonate with that, and playfully, put your attention forward, dreaming of how you love to feel and who you want to show up as in the world.
This past weekend was the Summer Solstice.
It’s the season of the longest day. It’s a time of fire, when you can infuse your solar plexus, your energy centre of the frequency of YOU, with the fiery energy of the Sun.
I love using this time of year to explore what my light really, really is;
How am I showing up?
How does it feel to be the best version of Me?
What am I being Led To? Called To?
What feels like the most vibrant I can shine this year?
I want to encourage you to journal or ponder around these questions this week.
It’s a time of great alignment to the new, so embrace it. Allow yourself to transform.
This is the current focus over in my membership program THE BREATHING SPACE.
It’s space is a magical circle of women, where this summer the focus will be about grounding in clear intentions and showing up as You. If you've ever craved a spiritual community of fellow spiritual mothers, who are working at showing up spiritually whole with their children, The Breathing Space is created as a space to give you the tools to do JUST THAT.
Shine bright in this season of light, dear ones. Remember, life transforms.
So while changes may come and seasons flow, when you focus on being the best version of yourself and aligning to your greatest vision, you will feel anchored in Who You Really Are- Christina
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
